Description
I do art in two forms: SVG and PNG. I make SVG art using Inkscape, and PNG art using ibisPaint. They both have distinct styles and distinct pricings.
SVG files use equations and shapes to create images — thus, they are infinitely scaleable, and have no resolution (except when exported as PNGs). PNG files store a grid of pixels, and each PNG has a resolution — this means that quality is lost when they are scaled.
When you commission me, I’ll first make a draft which I will send you. At this stage, you need to confirm if the draft looks okay or if you’d like any changes — if you do this once the piece is finished, it’ll be harder to fix. Once complete, I’ll send you a watermarked version of the piece, and ask for payment — only once you have paid for the piece do I send the unwatermarked version (and SVG file, if you commissioned an SVG).
Here are some guidelines for commissioning me:
- Say hi! It’s always nice, I don’t bite. :)
- Tell me about the character(s) you want me to draw. I’d like at least a broad personality, just so I know who I’m drawing a little better.
- If you have reference sheets, please send them! Multiple is nice, if possible. If you don’t have any refs, you need to describe your character(s) very well, unless they’re well-known and Googlable.
- Tell me if you want SVG or PNG art.
- Tell me the specifics of the art — do you want colour? Shading? A background? Et cetera.
- Any further requests will be honoured to the best of my ability!
Keep in mind that I’m a university student and probably won’t be able to finish your commission very quickly. Be patient. If you want to know how I’m getting on, drop me a DM — I may be procrastinating or simply have forgotten. Remember, you won’t be charged until the artwork is complete.
I take PayPal, currently. More to come, maybe? Contact me on any of my socials (not Neocities) to commission me.
Pricing
(This is a draft, I’m still working on the prices.)
Simple-shaped characters tend to be a little easier for me in SVG, but for more complicated characters, it’s quite time-consuming, so for those, I prefer PNG. My prices will reflect that.
